RESTRICTED BARBER PROGRAM

The objective of this program is to prepare the student for State Licensing Examination to become a Licensed Restricted Barber. The 600-hour Restricted Barber courses provide the appropriate knowledge, hands on practice necessary for the student to become a competent professional. The student is trained in the basic manipulative skills, safety judgments, good work habits, business skills, and professional ethics to take and pass the state licensing examination. Upon completion of the Restricted Barber Program, students will receive a Diploma stating that they have satisfactorily completed the course hours and will be registered to take the state exam to become a licensed Restricted Barber to obtain entry-level employment in the barbering industry.

Note: Graduates will not be able to practice their career until they have passed the State licensing examination.
